I had high expectations for Osteria Lucio, but unfortunately, the pasta was a big letdown. It’s far from authentic Italian, lacking flavor, and nowhere near what you’d expect from a place that claims to bring real Italian cuisine to Dublin. Given that they’re listed in the Michelin Guide, I find it quite questionable.
On top of that, the restaurant was uncomfortably cold. It genuinely felt like they turned off the heating to encourage us to leave, as we were among the last four tables there. Not exactly the warm and welcoming atmosphere you’d hope for.
That being said, the cocktails were well-made and enjoyable, so if you’re just stopping by for drinks, it might be worth a visit. But if you’re looking for real Italian food and a comfortable dining experience, there are far better options in Dublin.
Beautiful restaurant with delicious food. You could tell each individual ingredient was high quality and together created amazing dishes. The fresh made pasta was light and rich without sacrificing taste.

Really nice and cozy restaurant.
The burrata was excellent, along with the focaccia bread. The same goes for the carpaccio—the starters were a delight.
Moving on to the sausage lasagna, it was tasty and well-balanced. The crab tagliatelle, however, was average.
As for dessert, the tiramisu was disappointing—too much cream and an excessive amount of cocoa powder on top.
The service was attentive, perhaps too much so. We weren’t given the option to choose between tap water and bottled water (which cost €6). On top of that, the waiter kept refilling our glasses every five minutes.

Very good atmosphere and decoration. We ordered three appetizers (there was no more focaccia), the flatbread with garlic and rosemary was very delicious, a burrata with a pepper and fennel base that was 10 points and two arancinis that were also very good. For the main course, some pumpkin ravioli, which 20 minutes later told us there were no more and we had to order the spinach ones, which were normal. And the other main thing was the lasagna which was also very delicious. For dessert, a fairly average tiramisu. Correct attention. We expected more from what we had heard. The quality/price/portions ratio is very good.
