Osteria Lucio in Dublin

Such a lovely family dinner last Saturday celebrating a birthday. Food was delicious. Prosecco was devine. Atmosphere super. Serving team noticeably really great - friendly; efficient and you can see they work well together and are hard workers. What more could you ask for? Can't wait to go back.

Food and service were good. However Prosecco prices seem to be 6x from original price. Wine prices are 4x, that's pretty disappointing.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I have a special place in my heart for Osteria Lucio. I’ve visited several times, and it has consistently been one of my favourite restaurants in Dublin. The food is always delicious, with high-quality ingredients and beautifully prepared dishes. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it a place I genuinely enjoy returning to. It can be very busy at times, but that’s simply because it has become so popular—and it’s easy to understand why. The service remains friendly and professional, even when the restaurant is full. I definitely recommend giving it a try if you’re looking for a great dining experience in Dublin. I’m already looking forward to seeing some new additions to the menu in the future, as I think a few seasonal or creative specials would make an already excellent restaurant even better. Overall, it’s a place I always enjoy coming back to, and I highly recommend it.

Overall, we had a lovely evening, but the main course was a disappointment due to a lack of proper restaurant management and training. The Good: The atmosphere was wonderful, the starters were great, and the homemade focaccia was absolutely amazing. We were celebrating my birthday with our child, and the initial vibe was perfect. The Issue: When placing our order, I asked for a medium-well steak, requesting no blood, but explicitly asking for it not to be burnt or black. The waitress defensively mentioned that their chef has 40+ years of experience and cooks perfect steaks. Ironically, when the steak arrived, it was burnt to a crisp on the outside and charred completely black. I spent my birthday dinner cutting off the bitter, burnt parts just to find some edible meat.While I was eating, the waitress kindly approached the table, apologized, and honestly confessed that she had decided to change my order to "well-done" at the last minute. I just said "OK" because I didn't want to make a scene. Another waitress later offered a replacement, but we didn't want to wait another 20 minutes. The Management Flaw: This is where the restaurant's management fails. Even though the staff openly admitted that the restaurant made a mistake and altered my order without my consent, the ruined steak was still left on the final bill at full price. Good management should train their staff to automatically remove an item from the check when a mistake is admitted. The starters and atmosphere were great, and the staff tried to be honest, but the lack of manager oversight and a proper compensation policy ruined the experience. I recommend the restaurant for starters, pasta, but I do not recommend ordering the steaks.

Lovely Irish bistro/resteraunt serving Italuan food hidden away in a quiet street near to the Grand Canal and Google offices as well as the Bord Gais theatre. Higher class food, wine and service, so it is not a cheap option. But food is nicely presented and service is very attentive. It is worth a visit.

Don’t really know that many good Italian restaurants here, but this place was such a great experience 🍝🍸🍰 The food, cocktails, and desserts were all amazing! Everything was perfectly portioned, and the service was incredible too.
