Ox Mountain Lodge in Sligo

This place was amazing!! We were lucky enough to get a cancellation for one night in the Red Bus and my kids and I loved it. Its in the middle of nowhere which is part of the charm, no WiFi, no mobile service! Monica and Dermot were so friendly and helpful. My kids loved the novelty of sleeping on a bus and playing in the woods. There is also a games room with table tennis and few board games. There's geese, chickens and goats running round the yard which was great fun for the kids. The dog Hunter was also a big hit with my kids...they had great time playing with him. We'll be back for sure!

As a teacher with students completing Gaisce, this is the best option in the West of Ireland. Dermot and Monica are exceptional hosts, and so pleasant to plan with. They provide an excellent guided 20km hike, plus great team building exercises for students. They made all of us feel at home and very supported. I could not recommend Ox Mountains Glamping any more, as a school we have not stopped talking about how much fun we had, and how smooth Monica and Dermot made the whole experience. We already can't wait to return! ⭐
