A great bar with an awesome atmosphere, even on a quiet night! We popped in twice during our visit to Navan. The first night we came here (a Sunday) the place was packed & a group of musos were smashing out some tunes. We decided to come back for our last night in Ireland (Tuesday) & it’s a different experience but still enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Stayed in Navan 2 nights, this is the only pub you need to visit. There was live music on Friday which was excellent and played at the right volume (which is so rare).

25/04/2026: Pleasant fine dining style experience at the heart of Navan. We began with a couple of starters. The tossed chicken tenders was one of the best we had in a long time, absolutely delicious. We had calamari as the next starter which was decent. For mains, we had basil cream fettuccini with prawns, stir fry Asian chicken noodles and penne with tomato sauce. Basil cream was luxurious and rich, however the prawns were a bit overcooked for my taste. The penne and noodles were basic, nothing special. We finished with sticky toffee pudding and crème brulé and both didn't disappoint

25/03/2026: A beautiful building, a creative and inspirational menu full of flavour, we had to try a few places before we found The Central. The staff were all so naturally kind and helpful, we wanted for nothing. Food was cooked not reheated or microwaved, it takes a bit of time to cook real quality food, it was hot and full of flavour visually appealing the portions were adequate a great cheff obviously. The interior design was unique and the colour scheme was lovely. Would highly recommend.
