P EGAN BAR in Moate

We visited P. Egan while spending the day in Moate, as we knew Michael Jackson had visited this pub during his time living in Ireland. From the moment we arrived, Paul welcomed us with such warmth and kindness and made our visit feel truly special. It’s a beautiful traditional Irish pub, full of character, history and a lovely atmosphere. We’re so grateful to Paul for taking the time to talk with us, share stories and make us feel so welcome. Being there already had a very special meaning for us because of Michael, but Paul’s kindness made the experience even more memorable. Thank you so much, Paul. We will definitely come back! ♥️

Iconic, 200+ year- old pub, the watering hole of celebrities and film stars over the decades (inc stars of "Dallas."). Welcoming host, professional, friendly service and great 'craic' to be had by all. Ideal for parties, events. It's like stepping back in time with the traditional pub atmosphere and old-fashioned Irish 'service with a smile.'
