A busy, busy place on a sunny weekend. Despite the place being full to the brim, service was prompt and friendly. We were fortunate to find a table outside owing to the good weather. A tasty fish and chips with the usual trimming plus a curry sauce for one meal the other being breaded Brie with said and chips. Not a cheap meal but that seems to be the situation anywhere since Covid 19 struct. Some people I understood were pre-booking a table to ensure a place.
We go here every year - a big group of 3 families, 3 generations and the service we enjoy is amazing. Large groups are not always easy or welcome in a small local pub, but the team at Paddy's Bar are fantastic. The atmosphere is great, locals are very welcoming and the food is delicious. Highly Recommend!
Loved this place! I visiting family in Lorrha and we popped in here for a quick drink after dinner. We ended up staying much longer than planned! The clientele were friendly and chatty and bar service good and fast. The place was packed so no-where to sti at a table, but stools at the bar were enough. Wish we tried the food but I don't think we would have got a table - best to book beforehand.
If this place stood the test of 199 years then you know what kind of food and service they are providing. Paddy's Bar was established in 1826 and it's still in business. I stayed away from burgers for long time after I had a greesy one from the popular place in Limerick City center near the river but I decided to try Burger from Paddy's Bar and it turned out to be the best ones I ever had and also their service was pretty good definitely going back when visiting Terryglass
