Pálás in Galway

Been here since I started visiting in 2021 Just an amazing cinema. Great sound and screen Really comfortable seats. Unfortunately it is closing next month and it’s inevitable. I still am baffled the city would want 3 cinemas to operate at once. I wish these folks got more business. They show films that most places don’t. Again I’ve only seen a. Few films here. But my best day was a double feature. Great to just relax and let the atmosphere of the place surround you. I’ll miss coming here. I hope they find a different venue. Come to Boston, you’d be welcome here! Good luck and Godspeed

This is the way cinemas are supposed to be. Comfortable, clean, intimate, warm. It was my first time there, great location in Galway city.

Nice place, useless film, the housewife of the year! A load of old tv clips put together. Divorce, contraception and the Catholic church, had nothing to do with Calor Housewife of the year.

My favorite place in Galway to see a film. Much of the staff is longterm and recognise repeat moviegoers, which adds the kind of small town, small business familiarity I love. They always have an interesting selection of films—off-the-beaten-path new releases, classics, nostalgic throwbacks. The bar adds a nice touch, even if I personally just use it as a comfortable and hospitable place to wait for my screen to open. And the popcorn is unparalleled. What more could you want? Thanks to this place I’ve been to the cinema more times in the past year than I probably have in the preceding five.
