A good Irish welcome with lovely food and wonderful Irish hospitality.
We arrived for breakfast with our family and were promptly seated. The breakfast menu was varied as was the kids menu, be sure to check out the specials board.
Service was on point with smiles and banter from all three members of staff who we interacted with. All were attentive and made sure everything was ok. Table was also cleared up quickly so we didnt feel like once we had ordered that we were forgotton about as happens in other places.
Finally, it was lovely to see a small business with Irish staff. I have found so many businesses in Cork employing non-Irish staff and I feel that the warmth and humour that the Irish naturally have is missing in these venues.
I will definately be returning!
Perry Street in Ringaskiddy is a lovely and welcoming, providing a nice contrast to the busy Grange and city centre cafes. A charming and cosy, bustling spot, which is always a promising sign !
At first glance, the menu seemed quite pricey for brunch, but we decided to try the Eggs Benedict and Pancakes. The pancakes were a delight—thick, fluffy, and nicely presented. However, the Eggs Benedict left something to be desired. The menu clearly advertised *sourdough* bread, but it was served on regular toast instead, which was disappointing. Despite this, we were hungry and ate everything, but it felt a bit misleading to advertise one thing and serve another.
Another thing to point out is the coffee prices, which are extremely high, with most options costing over €4++ I haven’t seen the likes of this in the city, let alone at a cafe down by Ringaskiddy…
Overall reasonable location, easy parking, and setup of the cafe are nice, the prices however are simply too high to consider returning anytime soon.
