Peruke & Periwig in Dublin

The atmosphere is very peaceful and beautiful. It’s a cocktail bar with dozens of options. They used to serve food but they do not anymore. We were surprised upon arrival since we could see the menu through our reservation. We understood the situation and the staff were very lovely. The drinks were delicious.

Incredibly fun cocktail experience. You need to get upstairs for the bespoke cocktails, the main level is also nice but standard drinks (with a cozy vibe). No food served other than complimentary (and delicious) popcorn.

The atmosphere is truly immersive — you feel transported to another era with the vintage carpeting, furniture, and rich drapery. This cocktail bar is full of character and provides the perfect backdrop for a romantic night out or an intimate gathering with friends. By candlelight, you’ll find some of the best cocktails in Dublin, paired with genuinely warm and friendly service. It’s not just a place for drinks; it’s an experience.

I booked a private function with a group fo friends for a Christmas gathering. All the correspondence and organization from the beginning was great and they were quick to respond and help us with special requests. Huge shout out to Cintia for how well she took care of us on Sat night. She was attentive, quick to respond, friendly and welcoming. Our group enjoyed our time so much and her diligent care played a huge part in that. Thank you Peruke & Periwig, and a special thank you to Cintia!

The atmosphere in the place is great, the decor is interesting, the cocktails (especially, Sazerac) were really good too…however the service was rather unwelcoming. We were made feel as an inconvenience by the waitress and she was doing everything to make us feel that we were in general bothering her with our presence (not even mentioning her absence of any reaction when she spilled one of our drinks). It’s a shame really, as the bartender and the hostess did really well.

Love this place! Staff are super nice but they seemed to have run out of some bits for the cocktails, I don't mind at all as it's super busy but just might be good to let people know in case they want to change their order. They ran out of cherry soda and we saw them making the drink with club soda, not a massive deal but it just would have been nice for the heads up when the cocktails are like 16 quid 😂

Peruke & Periwig is rapidly loosing its charm. I used to go here when it felt like you walked into a busy, old and charming speak easy bar. The vibe was old school, old style music and even a black & white tv to complement the atmosphere. Recently I brought some friends and it was not the same place at all. Its completely lost its charm and the modern music did not match the vibe at all. Keep it old and exclusive. It should be a place where people go to enjoy complex drinks and have good conversations, not just some other bar with the same modern loud music every other bar plays. Its just not the vibe. To the drinks. The Margarita wasnt great at all, it tasted like bottled lime juice was used instead of fresh juice. However the Old Fashioned was incredible and really well made. Im leaving this review because I care, i loved this place for what it was, not what its become.

Vert nice experience, different from the usual busy pub and crowds! nice atmosphere, it feels like you are in old exclusive club, where gentlemen go to chat and drink! Sabina, (I'm not 100% sure if that's her name) the Barwoman made very nice cocktails and she is very good! for something a little different i surly recommend it
