Phelan's Pub in Mountrath

Love this place! We stopped off for a bite to eat en route to our B&B. We ordered the toastie special with a side salad and a BLT with some chips. The ingredients used for both was fantastic. Proper rashers in the BLT and delicious and generous ham in the toastie. The chips were so tasty, real chips, not frozen ones. One thing I loved was the option to have some milk to drink and it was a great pint. Honestly, if you're in the area and looking for great food and delightful staff, this is the place to go to.

Lovely friendly place, great food. Second time here. Both times I was travelling from kerry. First time had cooked breakfast, yesterday liver, mash, onions and gravy. What a treat to see the liver on the menu.

Great restaurant, fantastic food and service. Great value for money and plenty of choice.

Have the lasagna, salad, chips, garlic toast and coleslaw! It was amazing!
