Phelan's Pub
Mountrath
19/08/2026: A wonderful discovery. Excellent rustic dishes. Impeccable service.
12/07/2026: The staff is extremely rude. We ordered fish and chips, which were very good, but very, very little. And this restaurant is incredibly expensive by Irish standards: fish and chips, a beer, and a water cost €27.50...

The Pub
Mountrath
14/09/2025: This was shaping up to be a great spot, but for some reason they got rid of the manager. It has been downhill since, he was the life blood of the place, great energy! Pity it's a nice spot, it was worth stopping in Monuntrath for, but not anymore.

Purcell's Bar
Mountrath
04/04/2026: Small local pub with friendly owners who are very welcoming and engaging. Washrooms very clean... entire place very clean. No food, but that's typical of pubs in the small Irish towns.
