Pizzeria Il Basilico in Athlone

Good pizza, kind staff, you can sit outside on the small terrace. Shame they don't sell any non-alcoholic beer (only alco and wine) and if you need a bathroom, you have to go to the restaurant next door.

Pizza has nice crust. I was expecting italiani persone.. they sounded like greek people.

Super fresh, cooked to perfection. The chips are a cheat code - propper chipper chips -- along with top class pizza. Best of a chipper and pizza takeaway together. Can't go wrong.

I’ve been going to Il Basilico for years - it is by far the best pizza in Ireland! The ingredients are so fresh and the pizza is always 10/10. Also the chips are proper chips, not frozen ones like most of the other pizza places! The staff are always lovely too and the service is so fast! I will continue to travel here as it really is such an amazing pizza!! Highly recommend!

Pizza was good. Nice crunchy base but the chorizo topping was disappointing. Very dry. Vegetarian pizza was very good
