This is a great little chipper. Called in as I was passing through Oilgate. When I ordered, I was surprised to see they were cooking the fish and chips fresh. I'm so used to seeing chippers in Dublin with precooked fish piled up,waiting to be dunked in hot oil.
Not in PJs. I had goujons of fresh cod and chips, and were they good. No they were excellent. Cod was particularly good. Best ever.
This is a great place to stop by. There is no seating inside, but they have tables outside. It's family run and it shows. Staff are so friendly & efficient.
Btw, I also had a Wexford creation called a rissole. You should try it. It's really tasty.

Very friendly Staff, they were very busy i had heard alot about this place cheese burger my partner had was very nice, chips were good hot and fresh but my fish, although very fresh was just too greasy for my palet so was a bit dissapointed. Service was good very kind and friendly bunch.
Mum and I treated ourselves to some cod goujons and chips for Mother's Day. We heard the fish and chips from here were fab and that people travelled from far and wide for them. Wowsers .. so, so tasty! Best fish n' chips we've ever had!! The cod was fresh, succulent and meaty. The batter was spot-on with a gorgeous crispness to it. Super portions. We really enjoyed the fish and loved the chips too. It all went down a treat and we will definitely be back. Big shout out to Mag too! Really friendly 👋🥰 Thank you!
I had a wonderful time with the staff great banter and I order a burger and chip the burger was exquisite but the chips were a bit salty I asked for a tiny bit of salt but other than that is was great
No matter when you go,the food is always piping hot so much so I can drive the 15 minutes home and its still roasting when I get home. Cooked while you wait so you know its going to be good
