Pomodorino Swords in Swords

On our little tour of Ireland one of our stays was in Swords. This restaurant was recommended and definitely did not let us down. The food was really nice and the service was brilliant. Big 👍 from me

3 stars because the prices are absolutely outrageous. €18.50 for a Diavola pizza… I've worked in many pizzerias throughout my life, and the most expensive pizza on the menu was one topped with Culatello di Zibello (one of the most prestigious cured meats in Italy), and it cost €18. Three supplì for €11 is also excessive, especially considering that in Rome and Milan you can easily pay much less. That said, we ended up paying €88 for one appetizer, three supplì, two pizzas (a Diavola and an 'Nduja pizza), two drinks, and two desserts. In my opinion, that's an unreasonable price for a pizzeria. It's more in line with what you'd expect to pay at a proper restaurant—especially if you had ordered a bottle of wine! 😂 ITALIAN TRANSLATION 3 stars because the prices are HUNTING €18.50 for a diavola... I went with my girlfriend for a plate of penne all'arrabbiata and a Margherita pizza, followed by a tiramisu. There's nothing to say. I felt like I was in Italy: fresh ingredients, and sublime food. Friendly and helpful staff. I'm sorry I didn't take photos of the dishes; they were just for display. Highly recommended for Italians and lovers of Italian cuisine.

Simon was our host and he made our experience very pleasant. He explained all the specials and was very attentive. We will definitely be back!

We visited this lovely Italian restaurant on Monday evening without a reservation, and we were warmly welcomed. We ordered lasagna, pasta with prawns, spinach ravioli, and a capricciosa pizza —everything was absolutely delicious. The tiramisu was one of the best I've ever had! The manager was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend this place!

The food and service were brilliant, we were really impressed with the quality of both. The atmosphere is a little bit like a nice modern diner, and the seating is just a bit closer together than what is comfortable, especially in the section for tables of 2. It's not bad at all, it just doesn't match up with the food and the table service. I don't remember our waiter's name sadly, but he was excellent and his recommendations were perfect for us. The chicken wings for starter were delicious. Pizza for main was amazing, and the tagliatelle bolognese was beautiful. Jacket potato fries are worth a go as a side, extremely good chips 🤌🏻. I've read some reviews about the pizza being soggy, wet or saturated etc. If you want dry, identical slices that stay completely rigid as you eat them, go to Dominos or Four Star/Apache...this is authentic pizza that uses real ingredients. Yes it is more moist than a franchise pizza, but it is fresh, many times more tasty and doesn't wake you at 3am feeling like someone has rubbed sand in your eyes. The food is fresh, vibrant and authentic. And that puts Pomodorino at the top of the list in Swords.
