We have ordered a paw patrol cake for our sons 2nd birthday online and it was amazing. It looked exactly like the reference picture and it tasted really nice. Since they closed the office in Tullamore we had to pick up the cake from their shop in Athlone. We got the smallest square cake and it was still huge and quite heavy. It was a chocolate sponge and chocolate cream cake. It wasnt too sweet or tasteless. I wish there is an option to add forest fruits, sour cherries or other fruits. It would elevate the cake so much. Will definitely going to order a cake there again.

O'Briens Café

28/09/2025: I always visit O'Brien's in Athlone Town Center when in Athlone. The sandwiches are always beautifully made with high quality ingredients. The coffee is great too. This is the best O'Brien's I have been to, always so clean, from the food display to the clearing of the tables. I have always found a clean table to sit at and always enjoy my food. But most of all the staff are amazing, so friendly and efficient, nothing is too much trouble for them. At this point they remember my regular order, goats cheese sandwich on gluten free bread with an Americano, I don't even have to ask anymore 😆 well done to the hard working staff.
09/06/2025: Food is nice have had few sandwiches and always happy. Staff don’t ever seem happy no real athmosphere. Busy at lunchtime hard to get a seat sometimes.
