I've visited here for lunches and dinner and food is consistently good. Fish tacos are particularly fresh and tasty. Staff and owner are lovely and so helpful. Great neighbourhood restaurant.

Very friendly welcome, the presentation is neat, the Irish beef is tasty but difficult to have it blue or very undercooked, as is the case with the hamburger.

Delicious! if you are going to cook anything, cook it well while using superb ingredients. I couldn't fault anything, a long time since I had such a delicious meal. Well done beautiful meal.

Canal Bank Cafe

14/12/2025: We chose this restaurant mainly because it was near our hotel. And what a fortuitous choice. This was one of the best meals that we had in Ireland! The atmosphere is a cozy, local bistro. The food was truly excellent. Even my cocktail was surprisingly well executed. By luck, we ended up having a great experience. This place does seem quite popular - deservedly so -- because it was very busy with what seemed to be a local crowd that is already in-the-know about what a special place this is.
