Rift Coffee in Limerick

Quite busy normally and it can be quite loud inside if you want to talk to someone. One thing I noticed is that when they make milk based coffees they tend to throw away any excess milk. I worked as a barista myself and with such a busy cafe you could just use the excess milk for the next coffee as their is a constant line almost. There would be no risk of it going off or being bad, just think it is a bit of a waste. It is nice that they have a little shop selling artisan food ingredients and coffee.

Coffee and buns were so delicious. We also ordered some lunch - a club sandwich and a falafel wrap, both were a little dry and lacking seasoning. Expensive for what it was. However, I would definitely return for the amazing coffee and baked treats again!

I got a takeaway coffee and sandwich for my lunch here. The man who took my order was extremely friendly. I got the ham and cheese toasty and an oat vanilla latte which came to €16. I appreciated that oat milk was not extra. My latte came in a very small cup, similar to a flat white cup and my sandwich was also very small. Although service was very good and the sandwich was nice I do not think I would return here. It was too expensive considering the amount you got.

Not as good as it was. Been going since they opened. The flat white this morning was insipid at best. I suspect it’s a bean with not enough body. Also it was not hot enough. The black coffees (americanos etc) remain good. Still remains a nice space & staff are friendly.

Great people ... Great coffee ... what more could we want 😊

Perfect calendar coffee! Gourmet sausage rolls are top class

They made a mistake on my food order, I asked for a takeaway but they plated it up by mistake and it sat on the counter going cold for a while until a staff member noticed I had been standing there waiting. Also, I told the lady making the coffee it was cold/lukewarm and asked if she could heat it up but she remade it and it was the same, still cold. She offered to make it a third time but I refused because I didn’t see the point. I like the interior design of the place, the products they sell and the fact that it’s dog friendly but I like my coffee and food hot so I won’t be back. I think these reviews are important for feedback. Feedback like this is the purpose of reviews.

If I could give this coffee 7 stars I would. If you're tiring of insipid, over-sized brown liquid masquerading as "coffee", this is the place to come. This was the best coffee I've had since moving to Limerick. Since The Larder has opened their range of good has diversified and they also have lots of coffee equipment and beans for home.

I look forward to calling in for a coffee & breakfast bun after training on a Sunday morning. Excellent coffee and food.

The eggs benidict was amazing! We took some small cakes away, and it is the first time I have bought something that was made perfectly with real butter. There is no compromise on quality! Highly recommended 👌
