What a wonderful place for a café! The café is located right on the coast and offers a wonderful view of the sea. The coffee was delicious, and the pastries looked wonderful, too. Seating is limited inside, but there are plenty of benches and chairs outside. We also bought some cool sweatshirts and T-shirts with the logo as souvenirs.

A bit awkward with the location (not their fault) being in a one way system and then parking at a premium (see 30 minutesish sign) Could do with signage and also telling people parking here for the coffee shop Super friendly and chatty girls, all quick to engage with customers and help Plenty of options Nice to visit but unfortunately an awkward location (probably better parking down the road and walking back up) Plenty of outdoor seating options, the bucket seats very low so not ideal if not the most nimble Prices at the higher end (probably in line with the area it's in) Recommended

A lovely coffee shop right off the coast in Greystone. They have plenty of tea and coffee options. I had the rooibos tea and enjoyed it while waking up to the sun. They have soft serve as well as pastries including vegan and GF pastries. I got the vegan Twix which is GF as well. It was a perfect bite with a good chocolate layer and smooth caramel. The atmosphere could not be beat.

Chakra by Jaipur

24/05/2025: Graduation Dinner or Great Masala Mystery? We were out celebrating a major milestone—our son graduating high school! Spirits were high, and so were our expectations as we walked into this well-reviewed Indian restaurant. The playlist was playing desi tunes, the staff were warmly welcoming (and Indian!), and the décor leaned elegant—not kitschy Bollywood. Promising start. We ordered a celebratory spread: Chakra Thali, North Indian Thali, Punjabi Chole, soft drinks for the graduate, a touch of rosé for my wife, red wine for myself, and kulfi to seal the meal. A feast fit for a proud moment. But then, the first subtle red flag—not a single Indian patron in sight. A full house, yet we seemed to be the only ones who might’ve grown up with actual masala dabba in the kitchen. We exchanged a look. Cautious optimism turned into culinary curiosity. The North Indian Thali arrived... and well, let’s just say it could’ve been confused for dessert. A sweetness that left us wondering if the chef had confused halwa with curry. It wasn’t bad—it was just confusing, like a Bollywood movie with French subtitles and a surprise twist ending. And then came the Masala Chai Moment. Now, I don’t play games with chai. I double-checked with the server—“Is this real masala chai? Not just fancy tea in disguise?” Affirmative nod. I leaned back, awaiting a warm, spiced elixir of comfort. What I got instead was... a pot of tea with floating masala tea bags and some milk tossed in like an afterthought. A beverage betrayal. I gently asked for it to be taken away. The server returned with the final twist: "This is how we make masala chai." That was the plot twist I didn’t sign up for. All said, the staff were kind, the kulfi was lovely, and the milestone was well celebrated. But if you’re going here expecting the soulful flavors of a proper Indian kitchen, prepare for a bit of culture shock. Next time, I’ll just BYOC—bring your own chai!!

The Horse & Hound, Delgany

18/06/2025: We felt truly at home at the Horse and Hound and enjoyed a fantastic three-course meal in the restaurant. The accommodation is a bit winding and has many steps, so you'll need to be a good walker, and there's no breakfast. However, there are delicious sweet and savory treats, as well as tea and coffee, right next door. From Delgany, it's a quick walk to Greystones. From there, we continued to Powerscourt Waterfall and then to the Wicklow Mountains.
08/06/2025: Portion sizes very small for the main courses
