Riverbank Restaurant in Tullow

I originally had given this restaurant a 5 star review on the back of having been there a number of times. However, having recently returned, I found that this place has dropped a lot in quality and service. I believe it has changed hands/under new management and it would appear to have gone downhill since then. Such a pity, it was a great place to eat and family friendly.

Unfortunately, food was just ok and that's me being "generous". Service felt like we were back in 90s. Atmosphere was like a nearly closing down place. Huge potential in the right hands,but definitely not into whomever runs it now. I'm not the person to complain and haven't said anything while settling the bill (which was 74 euro for 2 people and not even a "thank you" received). Won't be rushing again to eat here,for sure.

Hemos comido aquí antes, pero algunos nuevos propietarios podrían darse cuenta. Fuera para la cena familiar del sábado. Preciosa zona arriba no se utiliza. Sentado abajo. Escuchando música del club e iluminación brillante en pleno resplandor de la cocina. En realidad sólo huele a cena de cantina en lugar de un placer de sábado por la noche.

Tuvimos una excelente comida con excelente pescado fresco. Muy recomendable , era tranquilo ocupado el domingo , pero el personal que todos muy amable y se podía parecer la risa y bromear como trabajaban. Siempre me gusta ver esto en cualquier lugar y muestra un gran ambiente de trabajo.

Had the fish and chips, was soooo fresh 😋
