Lovely country estate house that has been refurbished beautifully inside, food in the nearby restaurant was fantastic as was breakfast in the morning.
They were a bit short on staff, probably as quite quiet to reduce overheads, but they were all fantastic and really friendly.

Rockhill House is a beautiful escape just outside Letterkenny — we stayed in a cosy room in the main house that was perfect for a short getaway, set within stunning, peaceful grounds.
The only thing to note is the modern door locks: they don’t automatically lock when closed, so you need to manually turn the key to secure them.
Dinner in the restaurant was exceptional — standout starters like smoked brie and fish tacos with fresh haddock goujons, pico de gallo, and taco sauce in a soft shell were bursting with flavour. Mains of chicken roulade and feather blade beef were rich, tender, and melt-in-the-mouth delicious.
Breakfast was equally impressive: a compact but well-curated self-service spread of fresh fruit, croissants, scones, and juices, followed by a cooked-to-order hot breakfast that hit the spot.
Service throughout was warm and efficient. We didn’t get to explore everything as we arrived late and left early — but what we experienced was top class. Thanks to John for a very warm welcome.

WOW! Just back from a really lovely stay at Rochhill House Estate!
There were 9 of us celebrating a double birthday, and everything was just perfect. The staff were so lovely, the food was delicious, the rooms were gorgeous, and the Wellness Spa was a peaceful little escape.
Huge thanks to everyone for looking after us so well, especially Martina, the manager, who made us feel so welcome and couldn’t have been more helpful.
We might’ve found a hidden gem… but something tells me it won’t stay hidden for long.
We’ll definitely be back!

Omg. From the first minute we stepped inside we were treated like royalty. Nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation the food and the service was excellent. They grow and use their own products. Martina gave us a synopsis of the history of the house. Had a wee look around the grounds and the Spa, Wellness house. So tranquil and lovely. Will definitely be back and thank you for making our time there so special.

What a way to spend a wet Saturday afternoon. Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. And this time got to sample some wine and beer which was a real treat. Booked again for Sunday morning breakfast. The best !

We ate in the church restaurant on a Saturday for a first communion. It wasn't too busy, food was lovely, though portions are small and service was very slow. There is an outdoor area which is good for kids to run around. However, there is a lake so small children would need to be supervised. We also had a beautiful fox visit us who just sat looking in while we ate our dinner, a regular visitor we were told☺️

On my first visit a few weeks ago to the Honeypot I was firstly blown away by the amazing service from all the staff but especially our lovely server Margaret as she could not have been anymore helpful if she tried…
I am gluten free and a lot of premises are either not very knowledgeable or helpful but this was not the case with Margaret as she went above and beyond explaining what I could and could not have and also giving me various options and oh my the food was absolutely tantalising…
It’s so good we are going again over the coming days…
So if you want good food great service and a cosy atmosphere drop in to the Honeypot!!
