Roots Café & Bistro, Loughrea in Loughrea legal town

Arrived just before menu changed from breakfast. We were handed the breakfast menu and kids were so excited deciding what to get only for a waitress to come over and tell us they're not serving breakfast anymore and handed us the afternoon menu. If this wasn't unprofessional enough we were then told that we had to wait 20 minutes for the chef to get ready for the new menu. I don't think this is the norm and I'm assuming they have a very unorganised chef or one that likes to show everyone they're the boss? Food was lovely as it always is in roots but the experience in this particular one (we normally go to Oranmore or Kilcolgan) left a sour taste and I wouldn't go back to Loughrea in a hurry.

At first I thought it was a small bit overpriced for Loughrea (versus Galway or Dublin €) but he food, friendliness and service is well worth it and generous, well cooked, well presented servings. Spacious and clean and wonderful light and view.

Staff are always so lovely in here and their new Power Salad is unreal !😍 Must try if your in Loughrea.

We regularly use Roots for catering for groups we have on training events. Anne Marie and her staff are very accomodating for special dietary requests even at short notice. The food is always delicious. Staff are very friendly and helful. Our groups are always full of praise for the lunches we get in Roots Loughrea. Venue is bright and spacious and prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend.

Fantastic customer service ,ambiance and food. I enjoy meeting friends for food and chats while enjoying the variety of food offerings. Staff go above and beyond to make my visits enjoyable. Roots is a fantastic addition to Loughrea. Fab views over the town .Bright and spacious. Always have specials on along with the regular menu.

Fantastic food, with the best Lentil Dahl in town! Staff are so welcoming and accommodating. Even the chips are delicious. Children's portions are perfect size and a good variety of options are available. The pizzas are divine with a light base. They do take time in the pizza oven but they are worth the wait. Hidden treasure and well worth popping in.

Roots is good for all. I visited so many time. And food quality was amazing. Soup was amazing. Humas veg with ciabatta bread. Simple amazing.
