Stopped in rye river to have some early lunch 12noon on a tuesday. It's set in a beautiful building that is decorated really nicely The staff are friendly and efficient we were given a choice of two tables . The food was excellent . Soup special ...a small serving of soup with beautiful chicken chorizo toastie and a fresh Americano €15 . Would highly recommend for service food quality and value .

This is a really nice place, laid back atmosphere, the staff are very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend the buttermilk benedict from the menu, but there are plenty of other dishes to choose from, but the menu is not complicated. Update: I have returned to this premises several times now, and have had a great experience each time. I have tried a different dish each time and have not been disappointed by any of them.

Genuinely a gem for Kilcock. Located in the centre of town, they've brought life back into the area over the last few years. Food is excellent for breakfast & lunch/brunch, with a nice gluten free options on a separate menu. Quality ingredients with a quality team. And after visiting on numerous occasions they are consistent with what they do.

Super location. Great building. Staff were pretty attentive in that Gen Z snappy kind of way. I think that breakfast is so easy to get right that if you cant do it well it's a good marker for other dishes. Mediocre at best. Shame.

The Canvas Restaurant

20/09/2025: We were on our way to the Dublin airport and stopped at the Canvas for dinner. It was delicious and the service was outstanding!!! I highly recommend it!!
14/09/2025: I'm not surprised the majority of the reviews are 5 stars which is well worthy for this beautiful restaurant. I had the seafood linguine which was delicious and so flavoursome. So simple yet so delicious. My family really enjoyed their dishes. If I was to critique one thing, it's small and quite noisy which if your sensitive in hearing can be hard. But it was a Saturday night and late booking. Next time I'd visit earlier. I knew the food would be tip class as I also ate in your canvas cafe in kill which was supberb
