I was there with my wife last week.
The landscaped garden is naturally planted with bushes, ferns, and shrubs. You feel like you're in the jungle. The paths are easy to walk and safe. The signposts may not always be clear :-).
In the garden, there are carved dinosaur figures and a short rope bridge.
You should spend a good 2-3 hours there.
If you're expecting a playground for children and a flower paradise for children, you'd better not go. Nature is the order of the day there.
The entrance fee isn't cheap, but it was OK for me.
I think they should reduce the price a bit for families.
In the evening, we went back for dinner. There are very few seats available, so it's best to make a reservation.
Here, too, the staff were very attentive. All the dishes were delicious.
I can't comment on the rooms, as I didn't stay there.

I love Kells Bay. We come here several times a year, but unfortunately, the same thing always happens at the café: you order hot chocolate, tea, and coffee, and the tea comes last, after everyone at the table has finished. Then it's piping hot, and you can't drink it in peace because everyone's already getting up. Honestly, is it that difficult to serve the simplest order FIRST? You want to be able to enjoy it, especially since it's a pot with three cups!

Tropical vegetation in Ireland!.. A magnificent park of almost the Jurassic period))) Waterfalls, ponds, huge trees, wonderful paths - you can wander for hours and relax your soul and body)

Beautiful and very unusual tropical style gardens with an amazing array of large ferns. Interesting trails for a good 2 hour tour.

A beautiful place but sadly the garden is quite neglected. It seems to have lost its heart. Overgrown in places, particularly the Ladies Walled Garden. It should be advertised as woodland walk rather than a garden.

We visited the gardens of Kells Bay House today. We were able to conveniently purchase tickets on-site. The staff are very friendly, both at reception and in the café. The mocha coffee is delicious, it's family-friendly, and you can sit outside.
As for the gardens, they unfortunately look a bit neglected in some places, especially the "Ladies Walled Garden," the "Waterfall Walk," and the "Dingle Bay Vista." It's a real shame, as you can see that they were once very beautiful and lovingly designed. It seems as if there are too few gardeners, and they can't keep up with all the work.
Considering that it's so overgrown in some places, the price of €9.50 is a bit steep.
