After a cold but invigourating walk in Leixlip we settled into this pub for a drink or two but upon seeing the food served to another table extended our stay to include a full meal which was one of the best I have ever had in such an establishment.
Really great place with lovely food, was just quite disappointed after one of our party had a whole glass of white wine dropped on him by one of the waiting staff. Accidents happen and staff were very apologetic but I would have expected at least some sort of a token of apology like a free drink or money off the bill, his trousers were totally sodden with wine. Nevertheless would still recommend and will go again
Great trad style pub, easy going ambience, great food....starter Mac n Cheese is sublime. 1st heard Pat Coldrick here on his Wednesday night slot...such a privilege, would love to see him back there?? Definitely a must visit spot ⭐️
Typical irish pub with an open fire.
A little on the dark side when you first enter also a little bit scruffy, but the staff are lovely and very attentive.
We decided to order the beef and it arrived promptly.
I'm going to be honest and say it was the best Sunday lunch we've had for a long time...absolutely perfect.
Well worth a visit.
