Wow! Such a lovely place to stop for food... staff are very friendly... the food was amazing hot beef sambo, fresh crisp salad and beautiful home made chips ,its spotless clean and not expensive. I'll be back. Great parking space out the back. Well done to all involved

Have eaten here twice this week, and appreciate the hospitality as well as the tasty, home-cooked meals. There is seating available inside and outside, and it is a popular place with the locals. The homemade lasagne is delicious, and the plate is loaded with salad, garlic bread and potatoes! A filling meal. The Sunday carvery lunch offering roast beef or turkey is a plated meal with plenty of vegetables and mashed potatoes—recommended hearty fare!

We visited Scanlons this afternoon for Sunday lunch. Thankfully we thought to reserve a table beforehand as Scanlons was very busy when we arrived. We were a group of four adults, we each had starters (garlic mushrooms and chicken), each was delicious. We had Turkey and beef for our main course. Each were delicious, perfectly cooked and piping hot. The service was excellent. We would certainly recommend and will visit again the next time we are in the area.
