It was lovely to get dinner after a hard day. Hadn't been in Kilbeggan for years. I remembered Harry's to discover its an IPAS centre now. Anyway Shannon's was lovely. Very reasonable priced dinner.
Had brunch and dinner here on 5th June on our way to and from Tina Turner musical matinee show.Arrived early for brunch but we were accomodated no problem.
As we were a group of 47 and limited timewise we all had delicious vegetable soup with a fabulos selection of fresh sandwiches. This was followed by tea/ coffee and biscuits.
For dinner at 7p.m.we had a choice of roast beef, chicken and mushroom vol au vont or cod.All served with veg& potato or salad & chips. It was all piping hot and very tasty. This was followed by apple crumble or sherry trifle.
Again service and food was excellent.
29/09/2025: We were told the children's bar is the oldest pub in Ireland so we had to visit it. Tim, like most of all the people we met in Ireland, was warm and friendly and he treated us to a history of Sean's bar. It's a don't miss opportunity!
13/09/2025: Good homemade dinner and apple tart.
Great breakfast to boot.
