Some dishes were excellent — the Chicken Carbonara, Fish and Chips, and the Salmon were standouts. The Seabass was also good, though the steak fell short of expectations. Sandra was great!
Dropped in for lunch as we were passing through Summerhill on the way to the vets. We were met with a lovely friendly welcome from the barman. Food was top notch, freshly made with great quality food. The waitress was extra helpful and friendly with our order as we requested a few changes. Upon leaving, the barman sent us on our way with well wishes for our dog"s recovery. Our overall impression of Shaw's was positive and welcoming with amazing food.
Like going to Shaws for food...but today was disappointing.Someone in the group had beef. It was so tuff that they asked the waitess for a steak knife. I said she cant eat it as its so tuff can she change it for some turkey instead..the waitress said no problem..it took 15 mins for her to come back with 2 slices of turkey and by that time the lady's dinner was finished. I had the chicken burger. Was sloppy and cold. The lettuce must of been a few days out of date..won't be in a hurry to go back.. it used to be way better
Lovely pub for lunch. Staff are very friendly and efficient. Food is very tasty and very reasonable. Always a nice atmosphere in the pub. Only ever visited during time
Omg a hidden gem in rural co Meath , we had been to a funeral and on the way home spotted Shaws and decided to give it a shot . We weren’t disappointed as soon as we entered we were acknowledged a given a seat a menus an a drink were provided promptly. My wife went for the shrimp carbonara and I went for the 9oz steak . God knows we were not waiting long before grub was on the table . No messing around here and the food was top class and no skimping on the food either . Definitely be back as we have eaten in some high end joints and the food here was amazing. Thanks guys top marks on all accounts.
