Sizzles Takeaway Ballycanew in Ballycanew

If you’re in Ballycanew and you’re not getting your fish and chips from Sizzles, you seriously need to have a long, hard look at yourself. I’m convinced they’re frying with holy oil back there because no normal fryer could make food taste that good. The fish is so fresh, I half expect it to slap me and swim off the plate. The batter? Crispy enough to survive a hurricane. And don’t even get me started on the chips — proper chunky lads that could do serious damage if you threw one at someone (not that you’d waste them). The portions are so generous I needed a lie down and a support group afterwards. The staff are absolute legends too. Sizzles isn’t just the best chipper in Ballycanew, it might be the best thing to happen to County Wexford since the invention of the tractor. Five stars, ten if I could. Long live Sizzles.
