Skeffington Arms in Galway

I've been here a few times for food and it never fails! The staff are friendly and very accommodating! Food was very flavoursome the chicken panko with the mushroom was lovely!!

The location is great, very close to the coach station The room we got was spacious and comfortable. The staff are very nice and helpful.

Was in Galway for about 4 days during the horse races on vacation. Hotel was very clean, staff were incredibly kind and willing to give advice to foreigners, location was perfect. Parking is the only downside as you have to park in a garage nearby but the hotel itself was incredible. Also connected to the Skeff bar which had great drinks and Irish breakfast. Excellent experience overall would definitely go back.

I would never stay anywhere else in Galway! Food - Sarah at breakfast was kind, welcoming, and efficient! She made us all start our day with a smile! The Skeff has the best bangers and mash I had in Ireland. Drink - Collum, Rory, and Tiernan were exceptional! Not only were they efficient, but they took the time to teach our whole large group about whiskey! I don't drink whiskey, but I was able to learn enough to recommend drinks for other people that joined our group later. They were all very knowledgeable and fun! The bar had great music each night and never lacked for energetic company! Reception - the reception team at the Skeff will make your visit! We had a large, chatty group and that could have been a lot for some teams, but not here! The staff felt like part of our journey through Galway. Marie, Frances, and Niall went above and beyond! I've never experienced such a knowledgeable, welcoming, and accommodating team. They provided prosecco when a couple from our group got engaged, refrigeration for some celebratory cakes, and even saved some of us when we got stuck about 30 minutes away. Marie always had the largest smile on her face when we walked in and it made us want to tell her about our day! Niall went above and beyond to help us in every situation! We asked a lot of questions and he always had the answer or found it for us. At least for me, Niall made Galway the best part of our trip! Location - The Skeff is located right on the square. It has local busses and taxis less than a block away, regional busses and trains on the other side of the square, delicious cafes scattered everywhere, and just a short walk to the Latin quarter or west end for drinks, food, and live music!

Rooms are very clean, staff is great, location is fabulous, colors in hotel and rooms make it very gloomy. Rugs could be updated. Love the showers.

Didn't stay in the rooms but went to the pub. Genuinely had the best night out I've had in years. The live music was absolutely amazing. All staff were absolutely lovely. Even the security guards were nice as, but made sure that everyone was safe. If I can recommend somewhere for live music and some fun it's here.

Great location on eyre Square the staff are fantastic breakfast was good the hotel is part of a big pub so a little noisy in the room but the advantages of the hotel far outweigh this disadvantage
