Lovely place to visit in Dublin. You can reach here by the Drogheda - Connolly station commuter train. You can see The old bakery, a water mill and two wind mills. Getting a chance to climb up one of the wind mills was awesome. There’s a farmers market happening near the entrance of the old bakery where you can buy local produce such as jams, cheese, baked goods, handmade soap, cream, essential oils etc. After the tour there’s a cafe on the first floor of the bakery building where you can treat yourself for a meal or a coffee.

We visited on a Saturday in Sept and were guided around the bakery, 2 windmills, the water mill which took around an hour. There were other historical artefacts on display. The guide was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about everything on the site. In the day we're visited there was a small makers market on site. There is a small cafe with delicious cherry scones & gift shop on site.

Charming destination. Food is ok but that’s not the point here. Skerries Mills is a slice of old Dublin and is quite unique in that sense.

A nice stop for those history buffs interested in how folk made flour and used waterpower in the days before electricity or fuel powered engines. The ingenuity of our forefathers is certainly to be admired, and a guided tour is recommended if you want to make the trip worthwhile. The surrounding area is pleasant for a leisurely stroll and in the afternoons, you may be able to catch a school football game. However, Ireland is so full of treasures, if your time is short you may opt for more fascinating historical sites.

Beautiful gardens, interesting plants - the spot is lovely and the mill is full of history. The next time we'll stop for tea!

06/11/2024: Beef burger good but not worth the price....They made me eat at the bar counter in front of the barman (the only kind one)...the girls at the tables, even though I had asked them for a table, left me at the bar counter even though they were behind and in at the back of the room there were many free ones….ps: to tell the truth they would have given me one behind the entrance door….it's okay that I was alone but I don't like a little more attention….
02/11/2024: Pork ribs, Moroccan chicken, burger, boneless chicken and half chicken with nachos/mini tortillas can all be highly recommended. Great service as usual
