Skinny Yummy in Dublin

01/12/2024: We were staying at the hotel and were looking forward to our final meal in Howth being in their great restaurant. The restaurant is small so booking is recommended, I doubt you could get in otherwise. We shared crab mornay to start which is just soooo delicious, packed full of tasty white crab. To follow my husband had lobster Thermidor with chips and I had crab salad with an extra portion of chips. Both Lobster and salad were delicious. Only one portion of chips were received and they were barely warm. By the time we got the attention of the servers to request a replacement as well as the missing portion, my husband’s lobster was luke warm, the chips were duly replaced and piping hot, we would just have preferred to have them with our meal. The service was excellent, friendly and happy Lovely nautical decor, good service and good food. Enjoyable evening. It was a shame about the chips, hence a rating of ‘very good’ as opposed to ‘excellent’. Our accommodation and breakfast were however ‘excellent’. Highly recommended.

21/09/2024: The seafood here was excellent - we had calamari, lobster and crab claws and all were very well cooked and extremely tasty. Also found a nice white wine that was reasonably priced. Service was also prompt and friendly. Would have scored 5 stars but they charge for tap water - why do this?!
