A bit on the expensive side. Scrambled egg coffee and pancakes over 30 euro Dogs are allowed in which I felt uneasy about in a small area where food is served. I went in for an irish breakfast which looked good online only to be told the menu has changed and no longer available. Unsure if I would return 7/10

We were on our way to Galway and dropped in at Ennis for Break and lunch. Thankfully we found Eva's. We had great soups and fantastic soda bread. Staff was friendly and helpful. We highly recommend Eva's for a great healthy meal.

Queens Hotel

15/02/2026: We arrived quite late as we were travelling a few hours. When we arrived the 2 girls at reception informed us of a €150 deposit due to their “no smoking rule”, they said it was mandatory due to “people smoking before”. Think this is very unfair as the rooms aren’t cheap as it is. The girls checked us in, handed us our key cards but didn’t tell us where to go or what floor our room was on. We took the lift up, got out on the right floor but our room wasn’t there, had to walk through corridors through every door we could find to then eventually finding the room. Would be a lot more helpful if they told us where to go😊. The room was very outdated, cheap mattress which isn’t comfortable to sleep on if you suffer with back problems. The bed was pretty small for 2 people too. Window was closed but still had air coming through it which made it a bit colder in the room. The view outside wasn’t too bad, we were looking out onto the road. The bathroom is also very outdated and looks dirty if im honest, very uncomfortable to touch anything in it. There was an open door in the bathroom leading into the pipe work??? With loads of dust and spider webs in it also making it more unpleasant. No hair dryer, iron in the rooms as you need to “request them”. We were informed in the morning it would be 2+ hours until we know if we get our deposit back as “housekeepers need to check we haven’t damaged the property or smoked in the room”. Overall, was an okay stay for the night but before you stay be aware of the deposit and it’s not a big fancy place to stay in.
08/01/2026: It does the job. The hotel is a mix of old-school and modern with the rooms recently refurbished (the bathrooms are a bit more dated). The bed felt a bit worn but it was still comfy. I didn't pay for breakfast so I can't comment on that. Soundproofing could be improved. You'll hear vehicles and people passing by, though it's mostly quiet at night. You can specify a room with a view online for a small fee.
