Stopped in for lunch and tried the Mediterranean Avocado & Feta Toast with streaky bacon, along with an affogato. The food was okish but enjoyable, fresh and nicely put together.
It did get quite noisy around lunchtime, and the small tables for two felt a bit squeezed, especially once the place filled up. Still, the atmosphere is pleasant overall and the service was fine.
A decent spot for a quick lunch, though best enjoyed outside peak hours.

Not a bad spot at all. Toast and meats were lovely. Decent price too! I am heartbroken.

Good quality breakfast. Hash browns could do with some work. But someone thoroughly enjoyed their eggs ! Would.

Ordered the Harold’s Cross Stack with bacon expecting normal fluffy pancakes but they were hard and dense. Made with semolina flour apparently, not quite sure who decided this would be a good addition to the menu. I’ve never come across anyone who enjoys eating pancakes that have the texture of something that was cooked 3 days ago.

Fantastic breakfast or lunch spot in Harold's Cross. Great coffee, great eggs and other breakfast options - very tempted by the sandwiches but haven't tried them yet!
Small portions and not a very friendly service.

We (table of six) visited Southbank in Harold’s Cross. Simply put, it’s a great spot for a relaxed brunch/lunch. Small menu but something for everyone. And made to a very high standard. We booked earlier in the week because of the need to seat six on a busy Saturday lunch time. No problems and table was ready when we arrived. The place has a bright and cool vibe and also sold nice artisan bits alongside the food. Enjoyed a couple of beers with lunch which was a great treat. Staff are very-friendly and good at their jobs. Definitely a solid local favourite if you’re in the area and we will return.

Just do yourself a favour and go. Cappuccino was perfect and the Mediterranean feta and avocado on sourdough with crispy bacon .. insanely good. The sun-dried baby tomatos I think really tie it all together, but the poached eggs were perfect !!!
I'm still thinking about it hours later, well done guys and I look forward to trying the eggs Beni next !!
Lovely setting and the staff were lovely especially the person who checked us in she was class ! Loved her energy and she was well able to manage a very very busy restaurant!

I was there today with my friend for a lunch. We had mediterranean avocado&feta toast and French toast. Flavor was so good and quick service. Coffee was good too. Our server Anna was very good with recommendations and very kind. Sundays are busy I would recommend you to make a reservation rather than just walk in.

Lovely buzz at Southbank. The quality of their food is excellent. Sometimes however I have found it can be executed poorly. On two occasions now, I have ordered their full breakfast and on both occasions the food is just just warm when it's served to me. It would appear their breakfast items (sausage, rasher, pudding, mushroom tomato) have been cooked well in advance and just kept warm. This really is unfortunate, and it's rather disappearing to tuck into a luke warm breakfast. I ordered a coffee on my last visit and it too was just warm and not hot. Both visits were brunch weekend times, so kitchen may have been under pressure. As I said, lovely place, great quality food, cooked really well....just could be hotter.
