I had surgery at St. John’s Hospital and I cannot praise the experience enough. From the very beginning, the care and professionalism were outstanding. A special thank you to Professor Colin Pierce and the entire medical team – doctors, nurses, and all staff – for their kindness, empathy, and incredible support. I would especially like to thank Denise from the Pre-Assessment team, whose warmth, reassurance, and professionalism made a huge difference and helped me feel calm and fully prepared. I would also like to give a special thank you to Dr. Alyssa Takahashi for her kindness and excellent care. Every step of the process, from pre-operative preparation to post-operative care, was explained clearly and patiently, which made me feel safe and fully informed throughout. The communication was excellent, the attention to detail was exceptional, and the overall level of care truly exceeded my expectations. The staff were always available, and after the operation they were constantly nearby and incredibly helpful with everything I needed. The food was also delicious, with plenty of options to choose from, which made my stay even more comfortable. The only small area for improvement would be that the toilets could be checked and cleaned more frequently. However, this does not take away from the fact that I am absolutely delighted with my experience. Honestly, my stay was so positive that I almost didn’t want to go home.
