It was easy to get too with either car or public transport. The staff were so friendly and polite and couldn't do enough for you. The location of the hotel was ideal. Would highly recommend this hotel

A lovely, quiet hotel away from the hustle and bustle of the busiest parts of Dublin. The staff are welcoming, courteous and very helpful. I enjoyed my stay.

Great experience all around! The staff are all extremely welcoming and accomodating. Breakfast is served a bit late (from 7 on weekdays and 8 on weekends/holidays). The rooms are spacious and clean. Early checkout at 4am was a breeze and the take-away breakfast came in handy on the plane.

We had high expectations for this 4-star hotel, but the room details were quite disappointing. The grout was dirty, the furniture was poor, and it felt more like a 3-star hotel. There were many alleys leading to the conference room, which was stuffy inside. The breakfast was bland and lacked variety, so we decided to go somewhere else. The location is far from the city center, but it’s walkable.

Located in the newly gentrified area with good public transportation- red tram line and Dublin Express are running at the corner. It is puritan and functional. No fridge in the room. The breakfast is extra 15 euro in the prev day and 18 as a walk in. The breakfast is not imaginative but solid- allergies are considered. The check in is online but the email confirming the check in does not include the QR code required for registration so you need to fill in a paper with blue pen. The staff is indifferent and their English is passable.

Came in for dinner during the week, was almost an empty restaurant. Food was decent, no complaints there. Ordered a Guinness and it clearly hasn't been poured all day as I got a terrible pint, couldn't finish it and got a whiskey and ginger ale instead. Very small bar selection, however as to be expected with a fairly small restaurant. Upscaled prices for drinks due to the location, definitely could get better prices within a 2-5 minute walk from the hotel. Server was nice, however she could've been more attentive.
I stayed at the Maldron Smithfield for two nights at the beginning of March while in dublin for a media appearance with RTE. I was well taken care of from the minute I entered the hotel and was upgraded to a family room with a huge balcony. The two trainee receptionists were very professional and friendly. This hotel is located on the historic smithfield square and is only two/three luas stops away from majority of the attractions and in a very safe, walkable location. Loved my stay, loved the breakfast, and loved the atmosphere here. Would recommend for any tourists or professionals.
