Strand Bar in Limerick

Lovely hotel - staff couldn't be more helpful. Food in restaurant is excellent. It is a 5 minute walk into shops etc.

Had a fabulous stay at the Limerick Strand. Absolutely first class staff, room's and food. I would highly recommend a stay and I will certainly stay at the Strand again.

We have been regulars at the River restaurant for the five years. We have noticed a sharp deterioration in the food and service. The menus have changed a number of times in the last year or so but not for the better. We dined there today and found it most unsatisfactory. The place wasn't busy but the service was only adequate at best. The quality of food was very poor, we had to ask for soup to be reheated and coffees returned. A mediocre burger was served on a cracked unhygienic board, chips were tepid. The vegetarian curry was made up of large chunks of aubergine and very little else by way of vegetables and the curry sauce itself was of very poor quality. The desserts were exorbitantly priced for what they were and cheesecake poor quality also. All in all a disappointing experience.

Stayed here a couple of times for business. Fantastic hotel with good sized rooms, great breakfast and well stocked bar. Recommend if you're in the area.

We usually stay in this hotel when we work in the area (weekly). Rooms are nice and clean but the best part of our stay are the staff. Everything you need in a hotel is there. We felt well taken care of, the staff are nice and always go above and beyond, especially, Antonio. It is so nice coming back from work to the hotel greeted with a friendly smile! -Toni and Danni

Celebrated Mother's Day recently with friends. Amazing carvery lunch with scrumptious variety. Staff were attentive and friendly throughout the afternoon.

My wife and I were fortunate enough to spend six nights at the Strand over St. Patrick’s Day, we had a wonderful time and can’t say enough about the staff, especially Antonio,!! Who had an answer for every question that was thrown at him ! Rooms were clean and comfortable in the breakfast was top-notch !

The staff at the strand are really helpful and definitely go above and beyond, Siobhan at reception was extremely helpful to me organising a few things and was very easy to deal with, an extremely pleasant person. Darren is the ultimate professional and these two staff members are a credit to the strand Hotel.
