The Plaza

23/11/2024: One of the best Chinesse restaurants in Sword and my favorite one! The seafood dishes are delicious!
17/11/2024: It's been the first time and we were very happy with the food and service received. The portions were also bigger than at other Chinese restaurants we have been and had to bring some food home. Very friendly staff who are good with kids as well. We'll definitely be back.

Jade Palace

28/06/2024: Excellent Chinese delivery. Delicious vegetables in veg spring rolls, veg tofu curry. All was of very good quality. Really appreciated the staff member taking the time to phone to clarify something in my order- such attention to detail. Delivered on time with no hassle, pleasant driver. Will be ordering again.
21/06/2024: Disclosure- I'm an American staying in Swords for the evening to catch a flight home. I'm thankful to have some closer to authentic Chinese restaurants at home. I googled British Chinese food and saw it was closer to the Americanized Mall food equivalent, with chips. The food may be okay and catered well to local Irish/ English people, so YMMV, but it was pretty far from authentic Chinese or Thai food. There were no Thai options outside curry on the menu. One of the plates we ordered was Szechuan chicken, which said it was extra spicy. It was not a dark sauce with Szechuan numbing peppers but instead a sweet and sour sauce with red pepper flakes. We also had spring rolls, which were closer to vegetables you'd find in a pot pie than any Asian spring roll- it wasn't bad, just different. The dining area inside was clean and spacious, the staff was friendly. They recieved and delivered LOTs of take away orders while we dined, so I suppose they are popular locally- which I would assume is a good sign if you're local as your expectations may be different than my own. Because of my ignorance on how Chinese food is catered to Irish market, I'm giving 4 stars, because it wasn't bad and I don't want to negatively affect them with a lower rating.
