Great food great vibe will be back

Visiting for the first time, I was very pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. The beer was good and fresh. However, I was disappointed that the waitress took our beers while we had stepped outside. We had purposely left our belongings on the table, and the waitress had been informed that we were leaving for a moment and would return. Therefore, we were quite surprised to come back and find that the beers were gone. The waitress should have been more attentive. The second time, I had a steak cooked medium, but the meat was a bit chewy, although tasty. There should be special, sharper knives for steak.

We came here yesterday for my birthday myself my partner 3 kids and the staff are absolutely lovely , my partner said was the nicest pint off Guinness, and the food was 10 out of 10 I'll be coming back and booking my sons confirmation meal here.

What a fantastic find! Discovered this wonderful eating spot on 21/10/2025 on the recommendation of friends. I needed a dog friendly place and Sweeney's did not disappoint. Our food was amazing...HUGE portions and a super friendly server who really looked after us. This was topped off by our Furry companion enjoying his ultra special Doggy Ice Cream! To give this establishment 5 stars doesn't seem like enough...I'd go 10. Many thanks for a lovely evening and can't wait to go back!

Went in here for a quick bit one evening last week... The food is amazing... Price is not over the top... And the staff are great fun and very welcoming.. not too mention the setting and the quaint location of the pub... If you can travel.... It's definitely worth a stop off
