Taikichi in Limerick

Love the food here and the atmosphere, it makes sense why this place is almost always busy. Be sure to book a table from Thur- Sun. Both the sushi and bento box are really good. I'd suggest also having the plum sake as it is really nice.

Very good food and nice staff. But, I wish they’d do something about their door! It can be very cold and drafty if you sit near the entrance !

The quality of food here is unmatched, not just in Limerick but possibly across Ireland. Every dish is freshly prepared with care, so be sure to bring a little extra time—it’s well worth the wait for what is consistently the best food we’ve had in the country. This restaurant goes beyond being just a sushi spot. The variety of dishes means there’s something for everyone, from the sushi purist to those who prefer delicious meat options. My companion and I especially enjoyed the flavorful and well-prepared meats, along with creative selections like the Vegas roll, which added a fun twist to our meal. The prices are very reasonable for the quality you receive—sometimes it feels like you’re getting an incredible deal. But what really completes the experience is the friendly and attentive staff, who always make sure you’re well taken care of. If there’s one minor suggestion, it would be more frequent refills of water, but this is a small note in what is otherwise a stellar dining experience. For those who love authentic Japanese food, this is the place. Many others, like us, rave about it—whether it’s sushi enthusiasts who say it’s the best they’ve had or those who appreciate the variety of non-sushi options. Great, small restaurant with good food and friendly, nice staff. Food was quite good and portions were big enough even for hungry samurais.

Ordered over Uber eats, the lid of the box with the chips was cracked at the corner… the chips were soaked and the ribs weren’t great either. Both also came in a very small portion. The sushi was really good but also not very big😬 42€ for 2 ribs, soaked chips and 16 little maki wasn’t worth it…

I went here for my friend's birthday dinner and place had a nice peaceful vibe!! Great location and food was great as well. But it was difficult to communicate to the waiters in English as they spoke their native tongue. Overall experience was great. Not mnay vegetarian options though but you can ask them to amend accordingly.

It is very seldom that we have had the opportunity to try Japanese food - so this was a bit of an adventure. The entire experience was good - the food was well prepared and presented - we thoroughly enjoyed it and there was a reasonable wine list. The staff, especially the girls, were very pleasant and attentive. A meal for two and a bottle of win 75 Euros. We'll be back.

Efficient service. Nice deco inside. Delicious fried rice with enough heat and soy sauce. Sashimi cuts are too thin though, still not bad in value. They also have ramen soup though I couldn’t find it on the menu, but I saw other customers ordering it and it’s a big bowl. Perfect for cold days.
