Talbot Hotel Carlow in Carlow

Our family spent Easter Bank Holiday (Fri to Mon) at Talbot Hotel in Carlow. I've never met such helpful staff - they were very professional and always with a smile. Just to name a few managers Gary Pendergrass & David Muszynski. The security staff and all the other staff from receptionist to cleaners. The food was very good & big portions. We found the soft drinks expensive 200ml bottle of coke cola was €3.90. The Talbot was very much a Hotel for families with small children with the Dome just next door which was very popular. Dunnes stores,Mr Price etc was just across the road - very convenient!! Considering there was refurbishments going on the staff should be applauded because we were hardly aware of it. I would definitely recommend this hotel to family & friends. We also got a very good deal for Easter with plenty of free parking Well done to all the staff you take great pride in your place of work.

Stayed here overnight for a staff Christmas party. Had the most amazing room all to myself, so modern and clean! The bed was so comfortable I had one of the best nights sleep. A few of us stayed up until close at the hotel bar and the vibes were immaculate. Had one of the best nights here with my workmates I can't rate it highly enough! And the breakfast is great the next morning.

We can’t thank the staff enough for making our wedding day run so smoothly particularly Mary from the restaurant, coordinators Sarah & TeeCee and general manager Daniel for being so attentive. We can’t wait to return for a lovely break soon.

The swimming pool is great. However, the restaurant is not very clean. The bed in our room was not very clean too.

Kids had a ball, would wait till refurbishments are done on changing rooms are done tho, doesn't effect your swim though lol, food was lovely, staff were friendly and helpful, balls for younger kids is huge, bowling lanes (next door) need to be updated but all in all great stay lovely hotel would come back , great value

Lovely staff. Very welcoming. Room was perfect and huge selection available for breakfast. This was our 2nd visit and we will be back again!

I stopped for a coffee, very pleasant staff and quick service, The location was good , and the surroundings were comfortable .
