We stayed at an Airbnb right down the lane from this cafe and visited several times during our stay on the island. Best Beef and Guinness stew I’ve ever had! The tea and cake was also a lovely afternoon treat when the weather turned cold. My only complaint is they weren’t open for dinner hours, otherwise I would have taken my dinners there as well! ❤️

Travelled and stopped the last November Friday. Was windy with cold rain. Stew for myself and lasagna for my teen were gorgeous and kept us full and fueled for the whole rainy cold day. Staff was Nice and friendly, the fireplace was cosy and smelled with turf/peat.

A great spot for a bite before or after the Dún Aonghasa walk. The vegetable and tomato soup was surprisingly delicious.

We stopped here for a quick lunch before a hike up Dun Aonghasa. We had sandwiches which were fabulous and a slice of carrot cake. One of the best meals we had anywhere in Ireland.

This place has one of the best tasting soups I have had. The tomato and vegetable soups are absolutely beautiful. I have been here several times, and I have always loved the soups. The ambience is very cute and the colourful flowers against the white painted wall outside give it a very unique vibe. Always feel my happy self here! :)

Had a late lunch ate the lasagna. Excellent, served piping hot with coleslaw and green salad. Good size serving, reasonable price. Food prepared in house. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely little coffee shop/restaurant to stop into. We had coffee and dessert which was scrumptious. Just beware, it's very popular with visitors and there's quite a queue for service inside

Nevin's Newfield Inn

03/02/2025: Me and my family have been coming here for years since we were only children. Celebrated my mother’s birthday lunch today and it was splendid food and service as always. Didn’t finish my capricciosa pizza but I will say it was sublime 👨‍🍳👌 They also have a delivery robot which can also sing happy birthday😂 I’ll always highly recommend Nevins as a venue for celebration or just as a dine in. Thanks to all the staff for the brilliant food and service!
15/01/2025: A wonderful family meal in the spacious restaurant this time, following on from a great experience previously in the lounge area. Ample parking just across the road.
