The 1884 in Dublin

Stopped I on my way by. They serve Kilkenny on draft which is rare. Supposed to have 1 but had to have another. As the barman said, a bird never flew on one wing. Gorgeous pint. I'm not local, but next time going to Croker, I'll go out of my way to drop in

Lovely bar recently renovated and taken over by new owners. The Old Grangers pub as most people know it as. The place has lovely big feel to is as soon as you walk in and it continues all the way out the the super beer garden. The weather was to cold but looks like a super place to watch a match. It looked like a big screen and a bar but was all off at this time of year. The food was nice and the Guinness was good. They also have a fantastic selection of Whiskeys with very friendly staff and a good size wheelchair accessible toilet. I don't know what more you could ask for from a local pub with a bus stop on it's doorstep, we'll definitely be back. PS. They no longer do food. Still a good bar.

Old Dublin pub, full of old Dubs like me, we enjoy a pint here sometimes, and we like it here, the staff are prompt and friendly too; Too many of those awful speakers, linked to the tv, was the only down side, we couldn't hear each other talk... 🔊) 😬...hint: lower them after the game 😏 J. Came here on a Tuesday night. The atmosphere? Incredible. Man, woman and child were top deck dancing on tables. Couldn’t believe my eyes. There was beer flying through the air like hurricane Katrina (which I endured - god rest Braden’s soul x) The food? Everything you’d want and more. I’m still full and giddy, but especially enjoyed the bacon fries. Licking my lips at the thought of them! The outdoor area is more than a few acres large, the massive screen is the only thing that pokes above the horizon, yet at every turn there is a helpful barkeep to guide you back home. Next door? Exactly what you need. Chicken balls (1 of 4, also any sauce you like - I picked curry.) Will I be back? I’ve already arrived.
