The 1884 in Dublin

Just moved to the area and looking for a new local. Bar looks really smart, the service and Guinness is also good. I'll be back to check out the beer garden and maybe have some food soon.

We popped in on a Saturday afternoon for a few glasses of wine. The staff were so friendly and the pub is spotless. Large acreen out in the beer garden that would be brilliant for watching sport on sunny days

Can be a lovely pub during quiet times but is a no go on weekends. Is packed with loud teenagers. Which isn’t usually a problem as they stay in the beer garden. Bartender in waistcoat a real gent. Truly a lovely gentleman. During the week atmosphere is a 5/5 without a doubt but slight problems on the weekend in the past has brought it down.

No food is served. It's a great place to spend time with friends and be able to have a conversation.

Pros, good Pub, staff friendly, plenty of room, great beer garden, on a bus route, Chinese next door. Cons Should bring floor staff back .

Cracking Dublin pub. Busy enough to be welcoming and warm but quiet enough to enjoy the company.

Really nice spot. Haven’t been here in years. Great team behind the bar - couldn’t fault it, a really solid local pub.

This is a drinkers bar . There’s a nice mix of regulars and fly by night customers. The bar is named after the foundation of the GAA in 1884 . There’s a massive beer garden with a huge big screen and loads of room. Down to business The pints of stout are expertly crafted with professional pride . The whiskey selection is massive The spots are all there and all of the Red Breasts The Middleton is there along with a lot of lesser known whiskey. The toilets are spotless and the staff are very helpful. There’s a massive amount of GAA memorabilia on the walls .
