The Abbey Tavern in Dublin

The food was very good. We went for lunch without a reservation and were lucky to get a table because the place filled up quickly. I highly recommend the roast chicken with chestnut mushrooms and the fish and chips, rather than the Abbey's Fisherman's, which is a bit more a matter of personal taste. As with most places in Dublin, the prices are quite high.

Had lunch at the Abbey Tavern in Howth. It was very busy and the staff were visibly struggling to keep up, but the food and drinks were delicious. All in all, a great place for lunch while visiting Howth.

Went here for the vegan food and was absolutely happy about my decision. Place was packed but I found a seat at the bar. Got the tacos with chips and the sticky toffee pudding, as recommended by vegan friends. Both very delicious! Minor things that could be improved imo: cauliflower could do with a bit more salt and be a little more crispy. Same goes for the chips. Maybe add a little more mayo.

AAWESOME spot and great staff. Lovely ambiance and not a tourist trap. Easily walkable if you’re down at the Marina, and well worth every step. THE BEST SPOT FOR WHISKEY! Will not find more knowledgeable staff anywhere.

looovely atmosphere of a tavern, and a lovely woman served us! as a tourist I regret not trying other less traditional of irish dishes. i’m not the biggest fun of stews, i wouldn’t order this for the second time but i must say that it was 11/10, great chef 🧑‍🍳! the cider was a bit sour but also good

Wonderful place to avoid the wind and rain, the staff are so kind, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. They have an awesome vegan menu, be sure to try the sticky carmel pudding!!
