The Abbey Tavern in Dublin

My partner and I stopped by here for a few drinks and a comforting meal on a particularly beautiful day in Howth. We had the pleasure of being helped by Warren and Rory, who were both lovely to chat with, and great servers. Seems like a very special place.

We came for lunch on the way back from a walk along the coast. The atmosphere was very nice and welcoming, and the food was excellent. We had Abbey chowder and fish and chips that were nothing short of spectacular. Worth considering compared to other more central restaurants.

A lovely tavern in Howth with excellent food and a spectacular setting. 100% recommended if you want to eat well and sample local cuisine.

A cosy little pub in Howth. I’ve been here a couple of times and always enjoy my time. The pints, and service are always great. The staff are incredibly friendly, the pints are always good and the atmosphere is always relaxed. The smell of the fire, and the cosy pub vibe is always great. The food can be hit and miss. The chowder and the pies are absolutely delicious, but the burger and wings weren’t great. It’s such a lovely pub with lots of great comedy gigs, and shows taking place out the back. It’s highly recommended checking them out. Every time I go to Howth, I always call in to the Abbey Tavern!

The perfect place to refuel and rehydrate after the cliff walk. Lovely traditional pub with a real fire burning which just added to the ambience. Tried the seafood chowder and was so happy with my choice, so thick and chunky yum A lovely place to while away the afternoon. Its only a short walk from the main street and wasn't as crazy busy as the harbourside places so give it a go if in town.

A very nice, cozy pub with excellent food. And a big compliment to the music selection inside – very good taste in music. ❤️ We had to wait a bit long to pay, but otherwise everything was perfect, including the Cherry Whisky Sour, which was delicious.🥰
