30/03/2025: The route setting at GCC is by far the best in Dublin. The training facilities are disappointingly basic, with that said. A dip belt, loading pin and a good set of free weights would go a long way to bring it up to parity with every other climbing centre in Dublin. They do have a Kilterboard though 😍 Update: they now have a loading pin and a set of plates ❤️

25/03/2025: Went here as a traveller. Was a bit dissappointed to learn my friends would have to take a beginners lesson so we wouldn't be able to just have a climbing session together. Don't know whether this is customary in Ireland but it was a bit of a frustration. After the 25 minutes of filling out questionnaires and watching safety videos I got climbing and my friends went to get food. Routes were fun, mats felt a bit cramped and it was sometimes difficult to spot someone climbing before walking dangerously close.
