The Avon in Blessington

Avon Resort in Blessington, Wicklow is one of those places that’s just easy and relaxing from the moment you arrive. Parking is straightforward, costs around 3 euro, and everything is right there. There is a nice cafe, a few food options like pizza and kebab, and even a dog wash area which is a nice touch. The whole place feels very well set up without being too busy or overwhelming. The best part is definitely the view of Blessington Lake. Once you start walking, you go through a lovely woodland trail and then suddenly open up to the lake with really beautiful views. It is peaceful and not overly crowded, which makes it even better. They also have live music at times, especially on weekends or special occasions, which adds to the overall vibe. Overall, Avon Resort in Blessington is a great spot if you are around Dublin or Wicklow and want a mix of nature, food, and a relaxed day out.

Didn't stay but had a lovely coffee and pizza looking out at the wonderful lakes. The barista guy was really lovely. Very nice views!

I didn’t stay in the hotel but I went for the pizza truck which is lovely. It would be great if on busy days such as Saturday or Sundays in summer they would have events and live music

We love the walks around the lake and the nice vibe over summer, so we decided to get married in the Docker’s bar, with the lake view as our background. We were blessed with a beautiful and sunny day. The ceremony and the small family reception was wonderful. As it is a dog friendly venue our little one was there with us, and this was a big highlight. The food was delicious and all the service provided by the staff members was excellent. I can’t wait to come back and revisit our recent made memories!
