Another family resort gone for free living

Very nice place to spend a nice afternoon. Picturesque area, possibility of renting kayaks or bikes. Next to it is an excellent food court - the best pizza I've eaten in Ireland. Parking available at the facility €3 per day. Updated 2025: the place is losing its charm, it is becoming very commercial, the double-decker bus disappeared along with the pizza. Now there is a new building and average pizza... What a shame

Updated to a beautiful, familial and fortunate location overlooking one of Blessington's lakes. Live music, gourmet food & accommodating staff. I would highly recommend a stay or a function.

Very nice place about 30 km from Dublin ... a perfect place for one day family trip ... lack view seating area is very beautiful and many activities to do for children ... restaurant is also very nice and clean ... food quality is very nice ... rates are affordable and moderate for common people ... parking is available ... nice place to visit with family and friends ...

Beautiful place amazing views of the lake ,with great seating areas for food,have alcohol in site,pizza,burgers and fries ,and deserts .

I can only give feedback about the houses. They are mostly in good condition. 3 rooms with en suit bathrooms. Nice spacious kitchen with dining room and living room all in one space but nicely set up. Avon is situated near a lake and has beautiful views. Many places to take a walk, for example the forest around the lake. Also places to see. There is a cafe and food court on the premises. There is also security, which is good.

Gorgeous place to come For a walk or bite to eat, parking is very expensive. Didn’t stay overnight just visiting for the lake views
