The Avon in Blessington

Great location for a fun day out with staff with activities and competitions to keep you entertained and engaged.

This review is for the Walker's Cafe. The food is average, the baguettes and wraps were very bland. Very disappointing that there were no options at all for one of our group who is gluten free, not even a pre-packaged cake or crisps. The service was poor; there was no clear queue for ordering food and when sitting in there is no system for noting which table we were sitting at. It was a busy day (St Patrick's) but there needs to be some sort of numbering system. Half of the food was delivered within 10 minutes, the rest had to wait longer, and the others were finished their food before it arrived. We also had to ask twice for a coffee that didn't show up and there was no milk with it. We will be unlikely to visit again unfortunately, despite the beautiful location.

Perfect family program for a whole day! It offers plenty of options for the entire family for birthdays or friendly gatherings, and we always go with great joy! The restaurant section has many options and a wide variety! Parking for the whole day is €3, which is more than a reasonable price! I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to spend a pleasant family day outdoors.

Good pizza and dog burgers is good, better than any other in blessington apart from the Italian pizza inside the Wicklow house

We recently held a memorial service for Vincent at The Avon in Blessington, and we cannot praise the staff and venue enough. From the moment we arrived, the team was absolutely fabulous, ensuring everything ran smoothly on what was a very difficult and emotional day for our family. The setting is simply stunning, with beautifully arranged rooms overlooking the serene Blessington Lakes. We were in the Library Bar, which was warm and welcoming, complete with a lovely roaring fire that created a comforting atmosphere. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Their attentiveness and care truly stood out. The soup and sandwiches they provided were of exceptional quality, and the thoughtful service made the day as seamless as possible. We are deeply grateful to The Avon team for their kindness and professionalism. You helped us honor Vincent’s memory in such a meaningful way. Thank you very much!

Enjoyed a nice view in the sunshine.

We visited the Santa experience yesterday. My daughters loved the arts and crafts and face painting. Atmosphere was Christmassy and the decorations were fab. Santa spent a lot of time speaking with each of my children and we got lots of photos. Great atmosphere and great fun!

Lovely place for a coffee and a walk. And they have a dog wash for when your four legged friend gets too muddy. Pay parking. Check cafe opening times to avoid disappointment.
