Look lads, love the bar. Great criac and great for a sunny day sitting out the front or by the canal but for the love of God, turn down the speakers, inside and outside. We were all the way up at the top loft and the music was splitting our heads open. Absolutely no need to have it that loud across the bar. Fair if I'm there right beside the singer/band etc but we were away from it. And then outside to enjoy the air and the speakers blaring and I mean blaring at head height in the smoking area. Madness, just turn it down

Amazing food and great service! Definitely an awesome place to stop in for a bite to eat or to get a drink. The atmosphere is super fun and traditional for an Irish pub. The service was also superb.

We had a lot of fun at The Barge, the food was great and the staff so friendly. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and we were looked after by Bee, our hilarious waitress who made us laugh whenever she was around. Very grateful to her and the rest of the staff and highly recommend.

Great drinks and amazing location with friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended for drinks and hanging out but I ordered a dish here and it didn’t arrive for 40-45 mins, if you’re very hungry PLEASE consider a quick bite somewhere else as you will be waiting for a long time and once you order you can’t leave and you’re totally trapped there so it’s almost like a nightmare. One more thing is that the food was good and there was a lot of vegetables which was awesome but the beef itself didn’t have the same Irish beef flavor as other beef in the area so that was a disappointment but everything was fine.

Since Irish cuisine isn't my cup of tea, as I'm from the Mediterranean, I've given it 3 stars for this reason. However, I must say that the dishes are generously served. Highly recommended, off the beaten path. A beautiful tavern with lots of charm. The service was 10/10... Thanks for everything, McCaffertys...!!!

Great food and friendly staff. We visited as a family as it was next door to our hotel, initially went in for a drink but stayed for food. The food was between your typical pub food and bistro vibe and the place had a great atmosphere.
Recommended for a casual meal, families welcomed.
