This place serves a great tasty breakfast. Also it is definitely the best place in Portlaoise for gluten free options. The lunch menu is very extensive and great value.

One of our little favourites, we visit here often to catch a coffee and a moment❤️. Food staff are brilliant. Why we keep coming back 🥰🥰

We always go to the bay tree anytime we are in Portlaoise. Staff are very friendly, I’ve sampled a good bit of the menu to date and cannot fault Any dish! Amazing awareness for allergies , I eat gluten free due to being coeliac and I never have any worries when going to this restaurant. Even family members who have no dietary requirements comment on how nice food here is! I most definitely will be returning, love this place!

The staff were really friendly and the atmosphere in the place was really busy. My only advice would be to charge an extra euro for the French toast and include an extra piece of bacon as 2 pieces isn't enough with that much toast.

Lovely restaurant in the centre of Portlaoise, the choice and quality of the food is excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful and the price is reasonable.
