I didn't get food but it's a lovely pub with plenty of seating. Great friendly atmosphere.Staff were very polite.The live band tonight were fantastic

It was after a funeral so I couldn't rate the atmosphere. The sandwiches were lovely. The service good but the Tea And coffee was served in pots and I think the bags could be changed for a better brand and the coffee smelt good but it didn't taste like coffee. The pub itself is lovely with clean toilets

We were staying at a nearby hotel with a group tour. Live music 🎶 great atmosphere. Lovely Irish pub. Definitely worth a visit. 5 stars 🌟

07/10/2025: Very impressed with the Black Forge. Visited here with my sister. Staff couldn't me more friendly and were very helpful. We barely had to wait for our food or our drinks. Amazing cocktails and I highly recommend the steak on the stone

09/08/2025: It can be hit and miss here in every aspect. Been here a number of times and have left both pleased and frustrated in each of the categories above. Consistency is missing in every aspect. A great location, great rustic offering. They just need to bring the A game everyday in food presentation and content, staff friendliness, cleanliness.
