For gluten free beer drinkers, this ks the place. They had a variety of option from lagers to stouts and also ciders.

It advertises itself as being attentive to gluten-free cuisine, like beer, but they are neither equipped nor attentive.

They had great chips but the fish was pretty small for 20,95€. Beer was good service was ok. Steak sandwich had no sauce and the steak was dried out and luke warm.

Massive selection of hand crafted beers, stout, ipa, wheat, pilseners, etc. if you can't decide, they have 4 beer flights to sampler at your heart's content. The food is excellent. The stew is perfect the bangers and mash is excellent and their soups are great. It's a little off the beaten path but it is truly amazing.

Quality of food varies, from delicious to the fine-pub-standard fare. Lovely beer offerings and atmosphere. Staff are nice and supprtive of the dilly-dallying through drink choices by offering advice and tastes.

Mullingar House

23/03/2026: Staying with work in The West County Hotel and went for walk in Phoenix Park. Called in here for bite to eat and a drink on way back. first thing that strikes you is the interior is really nice and the pub has real character. Food was excellent with an extensive menu and staff were just nice people. Will definitely be back and would strongly recommend it. It's outside appearance doesn't prepare you for how nice it is inside.
21/03/2026: The incredible historical depth and the remarkably cozy atmosphere of this premier traditional pub in the heart of Chapelizod make it an absolutely spectacular destination for anyone who values authentic Irish hospitality and literary heritage in Dublin. I spent a long time enjoying a perfectly poured pint and exploring the classic wooden interior because the general energy of the building is very inviting and every single corner offers a level of vintage charm that is remarkably consistent with the high standards of historic Dublin establishments. I really loved the professional kindness of the local bartenders and the thoughtful preservation of the Joyce related memorabilia because the balance of the old world tradition and the friendly community vibe is truly impressive and it provides a satisfying and rewarding experience for every visitor. The facility is maintained with a great sense of local pride and I noticed that the environment remains respectful and warm for families looking for a relaxing meal after a long walk through the nearby Phoenix Park grounds. It is a must visit for any resident or traveler who appreciates a well managed independent pub where the quality of the service is a main priority and the surrounding views of the Liffey river add a layer of natural beauty to the entire visit. I also appreciated the clean organization of the seating areas and the general sense of warmth within the lounge because it encourages a relaxed and mindful appreciation of the local pub culture while soaking in the vibrant charm of the Dublin landscape. Even though it is a popular spot for weekend regulars the organization of the service is executed with such care that you always feel like a valued guest during your stay. I will definitely be returning here soon for another evening because the combination of the prime location and the unbeatable historical profile is truly a highlight of the local neighborhood scene.
