We were at Redcastle last weekend and The Boathouse was recommended, we werenโt disappointed, Stuart and his team couldnโt have been any more helpful, they went above and beyond making sure everything was ok for us, the food was delicious
Definitely be back, ๐ฏ all round, Thank you Stuart you run a good Ship (boat) ๐

Booked a table for four for Mother's Day as my wife, a vegetarian, had seen their menu and was impressed with the variety of veggie options. With a nearly 3-year old and one under 1, I was a bit hesitant to book at such a nice place. Stewart and his team were beyond welcoming. We were checked in with regularly, they engaged with the kids, gave us a prime seat with a view (instead of tucked in a back corner as has happened elsewhere), and we genuinely felt like honored guests. The food itself was great. Their set menu for the day was pretty standard, but the flavors were definitely more complex than what you'd find in other restaurants/pubs in the area. My only near regret was not splitting a dessert with my wife. We each got our own (sticky toffee pudding and apple rhubarb crumble both 5/5), and were then too full for nibbles later in the evening. Thank you Boathouse for a wonderful meal. We'll be back.

Came in with my wife and two sons, and had an absolutely superb experience. The food was out of this world - steak and Parmesan truffle chips for myself - and the service was brilliant.
I was thoroughly expecting to pay 40 or 50 euros more for the food, but was pleasantly surprised when the final bill came in.
If this restaurant was on my doorstep, Iโd eat there every weekโ

I was expecting a superb meal. Disappointed. The squid was cut like linguine, soggy and dressed with a sauce that didn't suit. The cod was OK but the sauce was tasteless, the gratin potatoes were just warm and were sent back, the carrot and turnip were hard and not even warm. I ordered a sancerre as I thought it would be good with the meal, It was very nice, but good food treated badly. Its a shame as its such a beautiful area proud of its seafood. Fantastic restaurant. I brought my family and three of us had the cod. My son had the steak and ribs. He was delighted.

I've ate here twice now and both times we've had a top notch meal. 1st time we were staying at the redcastle, 2nd time we returned coming from home, an hours drive away as the meal was so good the first time. Service has also been fantastic and the atmosphere has been lovely both times. Highly recommend ๐

We were staying at the hotel next door so ate here for a change. It was fabulous! The waiting staff were so friendly and helpful. The food is excellent, well cooked, interesting flavours and good portions. The view over the Lough was stunning. I would highly recommend this lovely bistro for a relaxed meal in a gorgeous setting.
